Hi I’m Carla and I’m a women's specialist health & fitness coach providing one to one coaching and small group classes for mums.


Throughout your journey as a mum, whether that is during pregnancy, postnatally or later on in life I want to empower you with the tools and knowledge to be able to nourish and strengthen your body so that you can feel your BEST.

I highly encourage all mums at whatever stage (once postnatal always postnatal!) to see a women's health physio to ensure we can tailor your workouts to where you are in your stage of recovery.

​

Gyms can be intimidating environments and that’s why I offer one to one and small group sessions.  Workouts are tailored to your needs in a safe and welcoming environment.  Workout at your home, outside in a park or at my studio - the choice is yours!

Exercising safely thought pregnancy & postnatally

Pelvic Floor and Core function, including helping with issues such as incontinence and Diastasis Rect (tummy muscle separation).

Training around your monthly cycle - yes adapting your training around your cycle can help you achieve more. Don’t just train more, train effectively.

MY APPROACH

CONNECT

My approach to mums health & fitness is once postnatal always postnatal.  Issues that can affect new mums such as pelvic floor dysfunction (eg leaking, prolapse, pelvic pain) Diastasis Recti (tummy muscle separation) and wrist pain to name but a few can also affect mums 6 years down the line or later. 


I spend time with all new clients to go through their pre-exercise screening form to understand where you are at, what your goals are, what barriers to exercise you face, your likes and dislikes with respect to exercise and movement. We then work together to create a tailored plan to help you achieve your goals.


We also look at connecting with other health professionals if required such as women’s specialist health physios, nutritionists, osteos etc. 

MOBILISE

Where does your body need attention? Do you have any imbalances that need looking at? Are you breathing correctly? How is your posture? 


Before strengthening it’s important to spend some time addressing these areas.  We will use various mobilisations and dynamic stretches to help create balance in your body.

STRENGTHEN

Now’s the time to start to add load and get stronger. Everyday as a mum you are lifting weights whether that’s babies, toddlers, washing, shopping so let’s make sure you are doing this safely to protect your back and not putting unnecessary strain on your pelvic floor and tummy.   We concentrate on functional movements that translate into everyday life.
